According to the family doctor of the late actor Dumi Masilela who recently passed away in attempted hijacking,the actor was already in trouble with a deadly disease and he had been notified by his doctor that despite all efforts taken to save him he could lose his life within a period of 48 weeks.
”Dumi Masilela has been my patient for over 5 years and he was a very kind man. Its sad to note that as a person grows into their age, the diseases begins to mount since our white cells becomes weaker as we grow. As for my long time patient Dumi Masilela, he was suffering from a liver condition and also he had an issue with his kidneys which were not working well. We tried by all means to help him but his condition was deteriorating by day. He was left with about 48 weeks to live since his body organs were not longer responding to treatment”,Dr Mogorosi was quoted.
Dumi Masilela, Is a South African actor, singer and former soccer player. Dumi joined the popular soapie Rhythm City and played the role of popular street kid Sifiso Ngema, who hustles his way through life.
In 2012, He made it to the Top 18 of the Idols SA season eight, M-Net singing competition. In 2008, he was a rising soccer star that Premier League club SuperSport United had signed from the University of Pretoria (Tuks).
